Review of My Scientology Movie (2016) by Scott M — 20 Mar 2017
Wow. What a documentary. It always seems when Louis dives headfirst into a generally-defined pernicious sub-culture, he encounters resistance. Most of this resistance is often amicable and, at the very least, many members who currently live within the given lifestyle make themselves available for comment, if not only for the sake of the "education" or "enlightenment" of Louis Theroux. This is one of the few times he has explored a culture where no one was willing to talk, and he encountered fierce, often border-line illegal, resistance. This may tell you just as much as the dialogue itself.
