I am a car guy. I also think old military junkyards are interesting. So consequently, this flick has been a guilty pleasure for me since I was 5. One of my favorite quotes comes from Vinny when he is asked by the police: "Why are you wearing sunglasses at night?".
"Because when you're cool, the sun shines on you 24hours a day.".
The premise would make a good remake.
Nostalgia aside, I think it would be accurate to discribe it's entertainment factor as Weird Science with 60% of the humor removed.
