Review of My Own Private Idaho (1991) by Adam W — 29 Jan 2010
A story of a desperate romantic that wants nothing more than to find his place in life, who is endlessly drifting. He continues to lose parts of himself in the process; his mother, his heart, his shoes as he continues to drift along.
River Phoenix was the highlight of this movie, his performance was extraordinary, especially in the second half of the film.
This film will cause you to feel an empathic void for River Phoenix's character, as you watch the character progress through the film.
