Thought I was watching it for the second time but realised I had only ever seen a few random scenes - my brother used to watch an old VHS copy when he was like 15 and I was like 10. I would innocently wander past the telly just as Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix were having a stylised threesome with Udo Kier, and I'd be gone before seeing the ravages of drug addiction and homelessness.
Probably why I turned out gay and my brother didn't.
