I did NOT know what to make of this movie. I loved the way it was shot, and of course it was awesome to see Keanu Reeves and River Pheonix in their youth (I was going to say "prime" but that would only be true for Pheonix, Reeves hit that a few years later).

River Pheonix's acting in this movie is so great and makes it all the sadder that he died so young. The random bouts of Shakespearian speak in this movie threw me off before I read that it was supposed to be a weird riff on Henry IV. Even then it was weird.
