Review of My One and Only (2009) by John M — 18 Sep 2009
My girlfriend and I loved this movie. It was playing in the local (circa 1927) movie theater. The story, set in the 1950's, is a charming tale about a boy's summer vacation with his dysfunctional family.
The story and actors were great, Renée Zellweger was exceptional as a mother of two teenage boys who learns to live without her husband, played by Kevin Bacon. There are lot of unanticipated twists and turns in this PG rated movie.
All in all a nice movie that lets you leave the theater with a satisfied smile on your face.
