As a kid growing up in the 70s and 80s having a Terence Hill (often with Bud Spencer as well) movie on TV was always a highlight of the weekend. While most of those movies didn't age very gracefully, this one stands out and is still very enjoyable after all these years.

Although it does contain the same kind of slapstick scenes Hill is known for and is probably his funniest movie (at least in the hilariously dubbed German version), it is also a deeply melancholic and serious Western.

The story, after an idea by Spaghetti-Western-maestro Sergio Leone whose style is clearly visible, tells of an ambitious young gunmen following his idol, gunslinger legend Henry Fonda to take over his crown and make sure he is remembered as a hero.

It's their faces that last long after the movie ended: Hill's optimistic, mischievous blinking and Fonda's sad yet merciless smile. How "Nobody" gets his hero to go out with a bang, taking on the Wild Bunch of 150 riders is just awesome.

What binds the movie together is Ennio Morricone's most beautiful and catchy soundtrack score.
