Review of My Name Is Nobody (1973) by Dan V — 01 Mar 2014
If you're up to your nose in shit, keep your mouth shut.
Jack Beauregard is an old gunslinger on his way out of the game; however, he still has an amazing draw and ruthless nature. Nessuno is a young gun slinger who is a bit eccentric but has a goal to wear Jack's crown. Jack tries to stay out of Nessuno's world but Nessuno has plans to set him and Jack up for a marvelous gun fight 2 versus 150 men where they will either sink or swim.
"The only way to become a nobody again is to die.".
Tonino Valerii, director of A Reason to Live, A Reason to Die; Gunlaw; My Dear Killer; The Hired Gun; and The Price of Power, delivers My Name is Nobody. The storyline for this picture is amazing and contains great characters, fun subplots, a fantastic scripts, and wonderful action sequences. The acting is first rate and the cast includes Henry Fonda, Terence Hill, Mario Brega, Steve Kanaly, and Geoffrey Lewis.
"You're the kind that needs an audience.".
I am always up for a good western and was thoroughly excited to see this picture as I had always heard good things but had never seen it. I can tell you this was way better than I anticipated. I was surprised to discover Sergio Leone helped make this film; but after watching it, I am not surprised at all. I strongly recommend seeing this film and potentially adding it to your DVD collection.
"Every game has the same rule, play to win.".
