Review of My Name Is Khan (2010) by Natalie O — 10 Apr 2010
I watched this film at the end of a week where SOuth Africa seemed to really have lost the racial plot. And it really uplifted me.
While this film has many problems mostly related to direction, editing and weird storylines, the underlying message is powerful. We need more films like this one which shows that people are simple people. THere are simply good and bad people in the world, nothing else.
SRK has really impressed me in this role which is s different from his usual Bollywood flair. Kajol was amazing; her smile lights up the screen. But there was serious depth to both of their characters which helped this film not feel too Hallmarky.
