This film way too long...had a great theme but a forced message. The plotting was clumsy or over thought. A clever screenwriting coach could have fixed this. I'm assuming the writer(s) were unwilling to listen to feedback or they received poor feedback.
The same message could have been delivered in half the time and with half of the spoon feed dialogue.
