Review of My Name Is Khan (2010) by Nick T — 23 Sep 2011
A real Bollywood film, quite well produced although overly long. It mirrors the story of Forrest Gump - an idiot savant making his way through the world spreading positivity - although it also carries a strong message of the consequences of a lack of racial and religious harmony.
Shahrukh Khan is creepy as the title character who suffers from Asperger's Syndrome, though his acting is sound as are the performances of the supports. Genuinely touching at times, it's actually surprising to learn that it's not a true story.
