My Name is Bruce stars a B-movie actor named Bruce Campbell (Bruce Campbell). He's brought to a haunted community by a naive fan who thinks that Bruce can rid the town of a vengeful Chinese War God.
Unfortunately, the dimwitted and vain Campbell turns out to be less than the action hero seen in Army of Darkness, Bubba Hotep, Alien Apocalypse, or even Congo. Die hard Bruce fans will probably love this movie, but I found the metahumor and crass gags to be dull and laborious.
I'd avoid this unless you happen to be a sincere fan of z-list Campbell films like Maniac Cop 2.
