You always have to love a movie that spoofs itself and where an actor spoofs himslf. The spoofing concept, Bruce Campbell's liners, and the multiple characters played by Ted Raimi help this movie to 2 1/2 stars.
While the best part may be the spoofing it is also the so-called downfall of this movie because it muddles in between a comedy that tries to have heart and a comedy with heart leaving it anti-climatic even for a cult movie.
