I caught this movie called; "My Man Godfrey" on TCM (of course) on evening. I really enjoyed this film. William Powell did an amazing job as well as Carol Lombard. The writing for this film is timeless and still makes people think. It still out does it predecessors. "My Man Godfrey" is about a man who the audience thinks is down on his luck living down by the river (not in a van though). Two sisters and a friend are on a scavenger hunt when they come upon a man. One of the sisters tries to get the man to be one of the things (a forgotten man) that they needed for the hunt. The poor man pushes the rich bratty sister in to a pile of coal. The other sister gets to know the man and the man agrees to be the thing sister needs. When that sister offers that man a job as a servant for her family, he agrees. That's when all hell breaks loose. The man realizes how much the sister really needs him. I would suggest this movie to any one. It has something for everyone. This film has drama, mystery, and comedy. William Powell really shines in this movie. Please see what you think..
