Review of My Man Godfrey (1936) by Ruth T — 23 Sep 2007
This was such a funny and charming movie. The opening is so great, I was hooked right from the beginning. The dialogue was great and Eugene Pallette stole every scene he was in. The whole cast was great, William Powell was such a suave actor.
On a side note, I didn't know that whole tragedy with Carole Lombard in real life, that's too bad. Look up the story on Alice Brady and her supposed alternate identity "Timmy / Shimmy".
It's an interesting read though probably untrue.
