Review of My Lucky Stars (1985) by Arsev A — 25 Mar 2010
One of the worst Jackie Chan movie. Take Chan-Hung-Yuen collaboration and add Ninjas into it. Does it promises a lot? Well yes but this one cannot keep up with the expectations.
In total there are only 3 fighting scenes and compared other movies of this trio they are bleak. We see Biao Yuen in the first and the last 10 minutes only. Even Jackie Chan is like in a supporting role. Sammo Hung's gang is not funny but ridiculously and meaninglessly stupid and they have very long scenes that add nothing to the plot. The plot is generally weak in 80s Hong Kong movies but this one is the worst.
