My little pony is sort of one of those bits of media that defies conventional criticism. The whole time you're watching it (if you're an adult) you probably have a little devil on your shoulder, trying to convince you that the film probably isn't objectively all that good.

And that devil is probably a bit right. But the movie is so exuberant and enthusiastic that the Devils voice gets droned out by you being slowly pulled into the world and sit there with a big stupid smile, despite your better judgement.

So is it an objectively good movie? Probably not. But it's been such a long time since I've ever left a theater feeling so good, so what does objectivity really matter?
