Review of My Little Pony: The Movie (2017) by Kyle H — 06 Oct 2017
I went in keeping hopes high on what type of story was planned for a big movie for My Little Pony. I was even more impressed on the style they used then what trailers showed. Music was as expected but did fit better then the soundtrack showed by itself.
The biggest thing was the jokes. I found it hard to not laugh, it wasn't just the timing of them but the type of ones as well, ones they don't add to the tv show that impressed and suprised me.
They also went on to have some suprising emotional struggle not common in MLP. Was a nice addition. My fear was how they would handle certian new characters but all of those fear either got resolved or faded to nothing noticeable.
All and all an excellent movie that might not of reached Zootopia for adultness. But being My Little Pony it didn't plan too, yet it would be the best result of a kid friendly Zootopia you can get so far.
