I was a HUGE fan of the show back in 2012. This year the leaked emails came out and revealed Hasbro didn't want Applejack in the show because she's, direct quote, a "hick". That takes the wind out of my sails in support of this franchise for me.

Aside from that, the movie doesn't really do anything that hasn't already been done before. It attempts to world build, but that's quickly shut down. Vogel, McCarthy and the current writers strike me as clueless. I don't see how it can get much better.
