I feel ill.
It's a shame too because... it's okay.
It's not terrible, it's just okay.
But as a fan of the show I'm left feeling rather foolish.
After all this is "My little pony" Y'know, "stuff for little girls".
Never mind the fact that this was the show that forced me to rethink that label.
The show that pushed the envelope, raised so many bars, did things cartoons of it's kin wouldn't dare.
The show that proved me wrong. Challenged me. Changed me.
And set me on the path I'm on today, busting my ass and wallet trying to learn how to write for kids, better, smarter, more meaningful stories than any other merchandise-centric cash cow would bother...
I can't find a single one of the features that made me sit up and take notice of what that silly little cartoon horse show could do present in this movie.
It's just okay...
Just "my little pony" right.
Just little girl stuff right?
No need to try too hard right?
