I have to disagree with the critic ratings, the animation is fluid and the character design was great, even the characters from the show got some shading. It's refreshing to see a 2-D movie in theaters, if this doesn't bring in the money then we'll have to wait another 7 years to prove to disney that their disney renaissance style should be revived.

The movie does follow the 3 act structure, but what movie doesn't. It's not obnoxious, you can see that the team wanted to show their talent. The songs shouldn't hurt the movie too much, sure there was a song at the end much like Zootopia, but they still furthered the plot during it.

I didn't like zootopia and I'm not a brony.
