Review of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (2013) by Clayton F — 31 Jul 2013

Watching the television series prior to this film greatly adds to the content. There are a lot of nods and call-backs which can give quite the laugh if remembered well enough. The movie plays out rather quickly and could benefit from an additional 20-30 minutes of show time but alas all the dialogue, character development and plot are scrunched into 60 minutes.

The movie is entertaining and worth seeing for any fan of the original series but when it ended I could not help but feel like the movie could have been a lot more in just about every category with a longer runtime.
