Review of My Life Without Me (2003) by Gia B — 25 Jun 2007
This movie moved me to a point that I cannot describe. I can't bear to imagine having the knowledge that I am going to die and being able to cope with that. Let alone not telling my family and children.
The Main character, Anne, in this movie was beyond couragious. She took the news of her death in a way I would never have expected. She accepted it and lived her last months for her children. Giving them no knowledge of her fatal illness.
She made sure that their last few months with her were full of fun and laughter and love. She knew that if she told her children, that her last few months would be a time of sorrow. Sarah Polley is an incredible actress and this film left a gap in my heart.
There's little more that I can say.
