Review of My Life Without Me (2003) by Phillip M — 24 Nov 2006
I first heard of this movie right here on Flixster. And I was pretty excited after hearing what other people had to say about it. But when it came down to actually watching the movie myself, I was somewhat disappointed.
I didn't expect it to be one of my favourite movies all-time or a movie I would watch every-single day, but I was expecting it to be a little better.
Though, I have to say that the acting, I feel, was as real as it could get. The cast was superb, although I'm not a huge fan of Ruffalo, he did a good job. And the music fit perfectly with every scene.
You'll definately have some tears building up, maybe even some rolling down your cheeks, and at some scenes you'll be laughing. But mostly it's just one big blob of the emotion: Depressing.
Enough to get a passing grade from me, and I'd probably watch this when I'm feeling depressed, just to relate to Ann, although I'm not dying.
