Review of My Kid Could Paint That (2007) by Mark W — 26 Mar 2008
Bar-Lev really put his heart into this documentary. It's very different and not bias, its a open-ended documentary, shot in reflexive mode. The original purpose/theme gradually changed as Marla's family's image changed in the media.
Did Marla really paint those hauntingly beautiful abstract paintings? I don't think that's really what this is about. He never answered the question anyways. Something that will keep you thinking even after the film.
