Review of My Kid Could Paint That (2007) by Allen B — 23 Aug 2008
This is more of a mystery than an exploratory documentary. And I think, ultimately, despite its attempt to remain neutral, the filmmaker's opinion on the matter is obvious.
It's the little things that make this movie special, though. It's a simple story, yet what it says about human nature, and art in general, is more truthful and complex than most other movies of its ilk. This was truly a happy accident for the director, even if he says otherwise on film. A great movie, well worth watching.
