Review of My Kid Could Paint That (2007) by Joshua B — 03 May 2009
Easily the best documentary of the last ten years, My Kid Could Paint That starts as an innocuous record of a four-year-old's burgeoning art career but spins completely beyond the filmmaker's original intentions when her the young prodigy's parents become mired by controversy.
Particularly interestingly, the filmmaker is drawn into the miasma and becomes a subject of his own documentary.
