Review of My Girl (1991) by Maria C — 29 Jun 2009
Very well put together little gem of a film. Stand out performance by Chlumsky in a movie that revolves around the raw emotions of pre adolesent angst, death, love, and life as seen through the eyes of Chlumsky's character.
Aykroyd also stands out in his role and nothing feels mellodramatic or cliche. An stunning climax swoops down on you but in the end you appreciate the film all the more. A film to be reconized and cherished, excellent.
