Review of My Flesh and Blood (2003) by J M — 29 Mar 2009
A great documentary about a woman who adopts multiple disabled children. But it isn't all tears and love. It shows a realistic view of how the kids problems really affect the family dynamic. Susan is shown being frustrated with certain events and that makes me more endearing to me that someone who pretends that every moment is just great and inspiring.
It is two sided like all great documentaries should be. In the end I think she is a great woman who is trying to give her kids a better life, even though some are terminal.
