Review of My Fellow Americans (1996) by Brendan N — 06 May 2010
A misfire in my books, the jokes are very narrow minded and never provide the chemistry of grumpy old men. I enjoyed it at times but in the end its a film i'll never hold a great appreciation for.
Jack lemmon has done alot better then this and its a shame because I really wanted to like this film. james garner is the only real showcase here stealing whats left of a under written film. he adds an extra quality to the film that the other actors seem to be missing.
A major letdown in my books and further proof good actors can't save a film in need of a decent story and script.
