Review of My Father, Die (2016) by Ian C — 25 Jan 2017
This had all the foundations for an excellent revenge flick.
The act in question was a textbook call for vigilante justice and it is set in a seedy Hillbilly wonderland.
Sadly. It didn't take advantage of all the joys that come with Redneck life and apart from a gimp slapping the stomach off himself while slashing his chest it just wasn't sleazy enough.
The villain thinks he's a T-800 and although it has some good stuff going and is stylish, it is just a bland story that plays out with echoes of Blue Ruin and The Great Silence.
