Review of My Fair Lady (1964) by Adesh P — 19 Feb 2009
There are some films which are shallow while this one is outright pointless to the extent of even being petty. Has nothing to say and to say nothing it takes 2hours 55minutes which actually feels like lifetime of a sea turtle.
It continuously keeps telling things which really I was not interested in knowing. It has sub plots which it conveniently chooses to ignore whenever it wishes but you're not really bothered neither about the characters or the sub plots.
And all those abundant plastic flowers add to the diabetic value of the film. The only respite or charm comes from Audrey Hepburn and some of it's songs, especially loverly.
