Review of My Dinner with Andre (1981) by Ian V — 24 Feb 2008
Andre Gregory describes how awesome Polish raves in the woods at new Age colonies are and espouses the benefits of long form improvisational theatre, Wallace Shawn is a grouchy skeptic who says but doesn't actually say indulging in such lavish self expression is ridiculous and it's not for everyone.
We've all had this conversation with a friend before, in some way or another. This gross over generalization of the film would lead some to believe I've completely missed the point.
