Review of My Dinner with Andre (1981) by Michael D — 23 Jun 2008
Pretty redundant as a piece of cinema, 'Andre' does have a screenplay of merit but this is extremely staid, stage-bound film-making and about as visually interesting as an old grey sweater in a second-hand shop and technically speaking, amateurish.
However, I liked the enigmatic waiter with his vaguely disapproving air and I think pondered the significance of his character more than the dialogue between the 2 protagonists.
