Review of My Cousin Vinny (1992) by Deb S — 24 Nov 2009

This is a funny; laugh out loud film that pokes fun at the legal profession. There was great acting by just about everybody including Joe Pesci (Vinny) who will be remembered for his psychopathic roles in films such as "Good Fellas" and "Casino". I know that Marisa Tomei won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and she plays the part of Vinny's girlfriend with a love for automobiles. Ralph Macchio and Mitchell Whitfield give excellent performances as the two wrongly accused boys who get arrested for murder while driving through Alabama. This film contains a lot of swearing, but the swearing is so funny and so well mixed in with the action, that you will invariably laugh because the lines are so smart and full of clever irony.

I'll say this is one of the jewels of the 90s.
