Review of My Cousin Vinny (1992) by Tom C — 01 Aug 2010
A by-the-numbers comedy which more or less gets the job done. It's pretty funny, but just keeps overusing its motifs and plot devices until its just too damn much. Tomei is great, but certainly not worthy of the Oscar then some of the better performances that year, like Judy Davis or Helena Bonham Carter.
Overall, watchable, but quite average.
