I must say I enjoy the "mindless comedy" from time to time. Ashton Kutcher has had his fair share of films that embody the genre. So when the time came to give "My Boss's Daughter" a shot, I assumed I knew what I was in for. Word to the wise, never assume!!

My Boss's Daughter was directed by the king of cornball comedies, David Zucker. To know of David Zucker and the types of movies he's made helps in putting this film in perspective. This is a director of such corny masterpieces like Airplane, The Naked Gun Series, Kentucky Fried Movie and The Latter Scary Movie films, but where those films are mostly parodies, "My Boss's Daughter" is an original comedy with as much utterly stupid and mind numbingly brainless scene after scene.

The Cast for what it's worth are pretty much known throughout the industry. Kutcher, Tara Reid and Terrence Stamp are obviously the films main stars but the movies only strong suit(if there is one) is its supporting players who have been apart of some fine films. Guys like Jeffrey Tambor, Andy Richter, David Koechner, Michael Madsen, Jon Abrahams, Kenan Thompson, Molly Shannon and Carmen Electra. Overall only Stamp, Tambor, Richter, Koechner and Madsen doing anything remotely funny or memorable. Everyone else is just so annoying and eye rolling stupid in their roles that you just wanna punch yourself.

If you just couldn't bring yourself to hate Ashton Kutcher as an actor here's your chance. Although He has gotten considerably better since this 2003 effort. Kutcher's acting and line delivery rendered him mildly charming in a dim-witted sort of way but mostly he's just plain dumb, as the script gives him absolutely zilch to work with. When he's not advising anyone with his slew of hokey proverbs, he stammers and stumbles through literally every scene with a `gee-willikers' outlook and all of the charisma of a cast-iron skillet. Speaking of capable actors in wasted parts, what is Terrance Stamp doing in this thing? Stamp's acting has always been entertaining. Why on earth he would agree to act in this film is beyond me, but like Kutcher, he isn't easy to like, much less identify with. It actually pained me to see Stamp deliver his lines, because I could tell he was trying to create a mountain out of a molehill-unfortunately, the script leaves him unable to revive his character. Now let's get to Miss Tara Reid. Without a doubt the worst performance by an actress ever. She's as one-dimensional as they come. The Chemistry and Interaction between her and Kutcher are laughable. 9th grade drama class bad. Oh and let me not forget the great lengths Mr. Zucker went to (always known for his crude sexual overtones) to include Carmen Electra in the action. One scene of her coming out of a pool in a wet t-shirt, another time fetching things out of a cabinet with a clear shot of her rear and the mind blowingly bad scene where she thinks she has breast cancer and needs good ol' Ashton to giver her a check up.

Few films ever come close to wowing audiences with how positively awful they are, but My Boss's Daughter is one of them. it equals anything in atrociousness with its display of gross-out antics, unfunny comedy, abominable acting (no thanks to a script that's miles beyond terrible) and tasteless sexual references. A disaster from start to merciful finish, My Boss's Daughter should never, ever have seen the light of day. This is the kind of film that can give a person nightmares about the future of comedies. I squirmed, I blushed, I never laughed or even cracked a smile, The runtime for My Boss's Daughter is only 81 minutes, but it feels like several hours of cinematic torture.
