Review of My Blueberry Nights (2007) by H B — 08 Sep 2009
Not knowing anything about this director's previous works, what captured my attention was the amazing cast. Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Rachel Weisz are some of my favourite actors and, Norah Jones is one of the 21st century best singer/songwriters, therefore her performance in acting was very atractive.
After less than two hours, the picture comes to an end and I my predictions were right: all of the cast members give memorable performances, puting the interest in it. About the screenplay, it is not very consistent, so the running time fits perfectly.
Not a masterpiece, not a bad film, it's just an idea that does not enter within the mind of all the viewers being sometimes pointless and close to uninteresting. Again, if it weren't for the excellency of the cast, it wasn't worth a watch.
