Beautiful, as is expected from Wong Kar Wai, but contrived and uninteresting. Norah Jones's performance was dead, and Natalie Portman continues relying on her charisma instead of her acting. It must be hard to be Wong Kar Wai; he has set his own bar so high that it will be difficult for him to match the stunning subtlety of Days of Being Wild or In the Mood for Love.
