Review of My Blueberry Nights (2007) by Melissa A — 29 Jun 2009
Wong Kar Wai who directed the visually stunning 2046, really captures the true beauty of how the most fragile moments of uncertainty can awaken a world of possibilities. With the diversity of characters involved, there is something completely new and different in every segment of the story allowing for self-discovery and reflection.
This had an excellent cast too especially with Norah Jones' proven acting abilities and soulful contribution for the soundtrack. The subtle movements with the camera in many of the diner scenes and throughout really added a subtle artistic quality and depth to the scenes.
After watching this movie, life doesn't seem like a bowl of cherries but a rich slice of blueberry pie.
