I am not familiar with Wong Kar Wai movies, but Blueberry nights was such a disappointment. Norah Jones is a singer, not an actress, and her acting was so bad she could not carry the movie. The best performances in the movie came from the supporting actors, Rachel Weisz, David Strathairn and Natalie Portman,who brought more to the movie than it deserves.
The movie was so slow paced and the dialogues so pointless. I feel bad for Wong Kar Wai, he could have made a much better movie out of this, choose a better lead actress, I know he is a great director, with many better works on his name.
But Blueberry nights was unsatisfying.
