Review of My Bloody Valentine (1981) by Jason C — 15 Feb 2008
Despite a low budget and some poor acting, this was actually very impressive for a horror movie. The storyline was great, even if it does have similarities to other slasher flicks of the early 80's like Prom Night.
With so many comedies and romance movies set around Valentine's Day, it was nice to have this one for a change of pace. The main thing I liked about this movie was that the director kept it simple but enjoyable.
It may not have all that much gore, and it doesn't have any confusing plot-twists that make things seem far-fetched. It is simply entertaining.
