One of the best slashers of the '80s. The cinematography, makeup effects, and lighting are awesome. The uncut version has amazingly well-done gore. It's held up well too - it's way better than the remake as far as acting and writing. The fear feels real. It's surprisingly brutal, even by today's standards.
