Review of My Bloody Valentine (1981) by Dan C — 28 Apr 2009
80's horror films are like hamburgers. They might be juicy, flavorful, and delicious. Or they might be way too greasy and leave a bad taste in your mouth, which the cook tries to hide with condiments, but he uses way too much onion and it just stinks.
Others fall anywhere in between. There really is no way to sum up every single one, except that too many are most certainly bad for oneself. My Bloody Valentine is like your favorite fast food burger.
The meat is of better quality than the others, the sauce is pretty good, and the veggies are fairly fresh. But nothing can hide the fact that it is still a fast food burger, and the best fast food burger still isn't even as good as a mediocre restaurant burger.
