Review of My Bloody Valentine (1981) by Josh H — 20 May 2009
This movie is an average slasher, and is slightly more scary then most. The one, major concern with this movie is that all the characters are thirty and up. While that's just fine in a normal movie, something about it just didn't feel right in in a slasher.
Add to that the fact that almost all of the actors also happen to be painful on the eyes, with the bad teeth and all, and it becomes a little difficult to watch. One upside is that the movie was filmed in Nova Scotia, and the setting is fantastic.
I also found the end reveal of the killer to be disappointing. I'll still be watching the remake though.
