Review of My Bloody Valentine (1981) by Annelies S — 20 May 2010
My Bloody Valentine is a great "80's teen slasher" film. Seeing both the original and the re-make, I must say that the two should not be compared. This film is great considering its time, the effects are good and the acting isn't bad.
The film is well written and story is great. I enjoyed the fact that the re-make was different from the original. I think that makes the original (this film) a gem. RECOMMENDED: for anyone that enjoys 80's horror films and originals like Halloween and Friday The 13th.
NOT RECOMMENDED: for most people that like today "horror" films like the Saw series or The Grudge.
