Review of My Bloody Valentine (1981) by Alec B — 02 Jul 2010
Extremely rural mining town deals with a killer on, um, I forget - Arbor Day or something? Notable for: extreme Canadian-ness, some lame attempts at dark comedy that get thankfully abandoned partway through, a town populated entirely by 30-year-olds who act like teens (instead of the usual 30-somethings literally trying to pass as teens), and a series of increasingly implausible "Hey, let's split up into smaller groups" moments.
But it avoids my main pet peeve for classic slashers - poor lighting - so good for them.
