Review of My Bloody Valentine (1981) by Sam O — 19 Oct 2010
The original miner slasher film from the early eighties isn't much more than your average eighties slasher fare. As a town starts to gear up for the first Valentine's Day dance in twenty years which is the same amount of time since the massive tradegy that cause the lives of multiple miners.
Meanwhile the bodies start to pile up as the dance nears and so it is cancelled, which makes the young miners of the town decide to throw their own party in the mine itself. Lots of cool pickaxe murder scenes can't turn this basic slasher into anything special unfortunately.
