Review of My Big Fat Independent Movie (2005) by Chucho E. Q — 10 Feb 2008

As odd as this may sound, this was a rather enjoyable parody film. Unlike the overly bloated later Scary Movie entries and the sheer crappy Date Movie and crappy Epic Movie, this film actually got the idea of a parody film.

Playing of independent films, the movie is chock full of references; references that work. I especially enjoyed the Pulp Fiction characters. The two actors had a good chemistry and played a good dry humor throughout the film.

However, I never really cracked up during the film. While to many this would be a problem, it wasn't to me. I still enjoyed it.
