Great movie! I like this film. By the way, Nia Vardalos is from my hometown of Winnipeg and I actually ate at her family's restaurant! The movie is about cultural clashes and the humor it generates.
What might be offensive and or over the top for some cultures is the norm for others. When a Greek women with her old school parents and tight ties to the community dates and marries a English boyfriend one experience the funny cultural clashes.
This movie is a winner. I think we all have had family run ins which make us relate with My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Good job Nia I give your film four out of five stars.
